Indian Flying Schools

As of 2026, India hosts 40 active Flight Training Organizations (FTOs) approved by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). Among these, 1 academies are rated A or A+ for their infrastructure, aircraft availability, and instructor-to-student ratios. The combined training fleet exceeds 146 aircraft, consisting primarily of single-engine trainers like the Cessna 172 and Diamond DA40, alongside multi-engine trainers such as the Piper Seneca and Diamond DA42. Typical CPL training packages in India range from ₹35 Lakhs to ₹55 Lakhs, excluding lodging and type ratings.
