Why We Exist

The gap we're here to close

India has no shortage of pilot training options. What it lacks is honest, qualified, hands-on guidance — particularly at the cadet selection stage, where families commit significant sums to pathways their children may or may not be suited for.

The right preparation can make the difference between selection and disappointment. We exist to provide that preparation — grounded in real aviation experience, not in generic content recycled from online sources.

Founder · Naval Aviator

My career in the Indian Navy spanned operational aviation, warship command, and air squadron leadership — giving me direct, hands-on understanding of what professional aviation demands at every level. I commanded warships and an air squadron, leading hundreds of pilots and men through the full rigour of naval service, before transitioning into civil aviation.

That experience — the discipline, the systems thinking, the judgement under pressure, the long training path that produces a real pilot rather than someone who has merely passed tests — is what SAN The Pilot's Compass is built on.

After leaving uniform, I spent considerable time observing the Indian aviation training landscape: families investing their savings into cadet programmes, students navigating selection processes with limited authentic guidance, and the gap between what aspirants need and what most providers deliver. I built this to address that gap.

"We do not promise outcomes. We promise honest, rigorous, well-designed preparation by someone who has spent a career in professional aviation. The rest — your performance, your suitability, your eventual selection — is yours."

Compass Test Preparation

In-person intensive programmes at our Bangalore facility. Equipment-based training on professional joystick stations, focused on the psychomotor and systems-monitoring modules where most candidates struggle. Small groups. Personalised feedback.

Pilot Career Mentorship

One-to-one consultation for students and families navigating the decision to pursue aviation — including honest conversations about suitability, realistic outcomes, and how to manage the financial and personal commitment ahead.

Our Approach

Small cohorts. Personal attention.

We work with a small number of candidates at a time, deliberately. Premium training cannot be delivered at scale — it requires real attention to each candidate's specific needs, strengths, and gaps.

Every candidate who trains with us works directly on professional-grade equipment, with experienced instructors, in formats designed to address the specific cognitive and psychomotor demands of selection tests like Compass and ADAPT. Our pricing reflects the quality, the equipment, and the personal involvement of an experienced aviator in every programme.
