Integrated Commercial Pilot License (CPL)

CAE Gondia offers a focused 19 month programme designed to prepare you to become a professional airline pilot. All courses meet International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) syllabus standards. Upon successful completion, you will have obtained all appropriate ab-initio ratings including your Commercial Pilot License (CPL) with Instrument Rating (IR) and Multi-Engine Rating (ME). You will be trained using best practices developed from CAE's extensive experience in training professional pilots throughout CAE's worldwide training centre network, where tens of thousands of airline and business aviation pilots train every year.

Education: Candidate should pass Physics, Mathematics & English in (10+2) exam or equivalent to 10+2 with minimum score of 55% individually in Physics & Mathematics
Medical: Possess a valid Indian Class II medical certificate / CA Form 35 issued by DGCA Doctor (prior to assessment stage); Hold a valid DGCA-issued Class 1 medical certificate with no limitations (prior to course induction date)
Selection Process
  1. Selection Phase 1: CAE Aircrew Selection System (CASS) - Computer-based testing, Pilot aptitude including hand/eye coordination motor skills and spatial awareness, Academic, mathematical and technical capacity, A multiple-choice test of technical reasoning
  2. Selection Phase 2: Interview - Candidates will perform an interview at one of our training centres across India. Successful candidates will be notified personally.

Indigo cadet pilot programe

The unique IndiGo Cadet Pilot Programme is specifically designed for individuals with no previous flying experience who would like to embark on a career as a pilot. Phase 1 - Commercial Pilot License with ME IR (CPL ME IR) Domestic Pathway: Ground Theory 540 Hrs. (6 months), Total Flight Training DGCA CPL (Single & Multi-Engine) 200 Hrs. (10 months), Simulator Training 30 Hrs. Phase 2 – A320 Type Rating with Jet Introduction Training (JIT) & Multi-Crew Cooperation (MCC): Ground School including Computer Based Training 36 Hrs (60 Days), Fixed Based Simulator 20 Hrs, A320 Type Rating Ground School (including Exam) 82 Hrs, CPT (Cockpit Procedural Trainer) 22 Hrs, Full Flight Simulator Including Skill Tests 44 Hrs. The above training duration are excluding but not limited to DGCA licensing, visa applications, weather disruptions and remedials that might extend the duration of the cadet training.

Selection Process
  1. Stage 1: ADAPT - The assessment is designed to measure your skills and aptitude including psychomotor, cognitive, problem solving and decision-making skills.
  2. Stage 2: Group activity - Once you have passed the ADAPT test, you will be invited for a group activity assessment that will be conducted in the presence of a selection panel from IndiGo. This test will assess your communication skills and team coordination.
  3. Stage 3: Personal interview - Upon clearing the Group activity candidates will be invited for a Personal Interview conducted by IndiGo Panelist. This phase gives you opportunity to articulate your aspiration and experience.
  4. Upon successfully completing the above selection process, our team will further initiate the LOI signing.
